For over a decade, Multiload have designed and produced high quality products for the lighting industry. We have developed our own technology for drives and control products, which communicate using industry standard 0-10V analogue signalling.

All our products are produced in the United Kingdom and our sales, projects and R&D department are based at our central London offices in Hampstead. We are rapidly expanding international sales, and have employees covering the Middle East and Indian subcontinent with further offices planned over the next three years.

Drive products go between the mains supply and the light sources; they provide the correct voltage or current for the lamp, either at full brightness or at dimmed light level; they include transformers for low voltage lamps and LEDs, ballasts for fluorescent, and dimmers. For many years Multiload has produced the award winning VoltMaster ‘Intelligent Transformer’ for 12V and 24V low voltage lighting; our own patented soft-start and voltage stabilisation circuitry allows the VoltMaster to be positioned at great distances from the lamps and achieves incredibly long lamp life. We have now become the supplier of choice for lighting designers who desire quiet, buzz free, flicker free low voltage lighting with smooth dimming. Our new high power Mains Dimmer controls mains voltage loads from an isolated 0-10V analogue signal; it also automatically switches off the mains supply to the lamps below dimmed level.

Multiload control products provide the standard 0-10V analogue signals which can control the wide range of analogue drive products currently available, as well as Multiload drive products. Using our patented ‘real time control’ technology, the control products range from the simplest rotary potentiometer module to the sophisticated multi-channel MoodMaker scene-set system. The products are simple to install and set-up, requiring no commissioning by engineer or laptop  – as digital systems do!

Brian Cuthbertson, Managing Director, founded the Multiload brand and continues to drive the technology forward; “We have now introduced the ‘green standard’ to our energy saving products, which applies to products which genuinely pass the strict test of reducing the energy use of an installation. This means a reduction in maintenance and replacement lamps as well as direct savings from reduced electricity consumption.

“In the future, only products which meet those standards will be produced by us as part of our genuine commitment to create a more efficient and responsible lighting industry.”
